Raspberry Pi-made companion robot "Olaf" moves its head and ears to match speech
Developer Kamal Singh has created a companion robot named Olaf, powered by a Raspberry Pi 5. Olaf's head and ears move in sync with speech and express its mood, while a small chest display shows a beating heart. To achieve real-time responsiveness, the system separates heavy AI processing and speech generation from the Raspberry Pi, which handles physical movements via ROS.
