New pruning techniques promise smaller models and faster training
ByPulseAugur Editorial·[12 sources]·
Researchers have developed new methods for pruning neural networks and datasets to improve efficiency. DCP-Prune focuses on ultra-low token pruning for vision models, achieving high performance with significantly fewer tokens. Squeeze-Release offers iterative pruning and structural minimization, compressing models by up to 39x while maintaining accuracy. Additionally, OrderDP and a graph-based framework provide theoretically guaranteed lossless dynamic data pruning, accelerating training by over 40% without sacrificing performance.
