SpaceX claims IPO filing aims for advanced galactic civilization

By PulseAugur Editorial · [1 sources] ·

SpaceX has claimed in its IPO filing that it is helping to create one of the most advanced civilizations in the Milky Way, aiming for a Kardashev II level. This claim, originating from Elon Musk's mission statement, suggests a future with a million orbital data centers powering AI applications and enabling multi-planetary humanity. However, space sector scholars like Brian Hurley dispute this, noting Earth is currently far from even a Kardashev I civilization, and such claims lack scientific support among astronomers searching for extraterrestrial intelligence. AI

IMPACT Claims of AI-driven galactic civilizations lack immediate impact for AI operators, serving more as speculative future visions.
