Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.8, an incremental update to its flagship AI model, focusing on improved honesty and reliability. The new version is designed to be more transparent about its limitations and less prone to making unsupported claims, particularly in coding tasks where it is four times less likely to overlook its own errors. While Opus 4.8 offers modest improvements over its predecessor, it remains below the capabilities of Anthropic's more advanced 'Mythos' model, with pricing and context window remaining unchanged.
