AI revives 1970s erotic films with vintage collection at Cannes

By PulseAugur Editorial · [4 sources] ·

A collection of AI-generated short films titled 'Sh(AI)ved,' derived from 1970s erotic magazine photo spreads, has premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Norwegian firm Multiformat utilized generative AI to animate these still images into full-motion video, complete with synchronized sound, dialogue, and voiceovers. The project aims to spark discussion on evolving attitudes towards sexuality and imagery over the past fifty years, contrasting the 'shocking' content of the past with modern sensibilities. AI
