Google Photos to use Gemini for AI-powered library cleanup

By PulseAugur Editorial · [1 sources] ·

Google Photos is reportedly developing new AI-powered features that will allow users to clean up their photo libraries using conversational prompts. These tools, integrated into the existing 'Ask Photos' functionality and powered by Gemini, will enable users to identify and delete old clutter like screenshots or receipts, and organize photos into albums with batch edits. This move aims to simplify the tedious task of managing large photo collections and free up Google One storage space. AI

IMPACT This feature could significantly reduce the manual effort required for digital photo management, potentially increasing user engagement with cloud storage services.
