Researchers have developed SuperAI, a framework designed to integrate capabilities from different foundation models into a single host model. This is achieved by aligning low-dimensional representations of task-relevant information from source models with the host model. The method uses principal component analysis and orthogonal Procrustes mappings to align coordinate systems, followed by training a lightweight multilayer perceptron to learn residual increments for fusion. Experiments demonstrate that SuperAI outperforms other cross-architecture fusion methods and maintains general capabilities as more source models are added. AI
IMPACT Enables more scalable AI systems by allowing the integration of diverse foundation model capabilities.
