New workflow enhances Cyber-Physical Systems design with simulation evidence

This paper introduces an evidence-driven workflow to systematically transfer knowledge gained from simulation and operational activities back into design-time models for Cyber-Physical Systems. The proposed method aims to address the challenge of implicitly transferring execution results into persistent design knowledge. The workflow is demonstrated using an Influence Model with a sign-following robot use case, showing how simulation evidence can enhance Influence Models by supporting decisions related to participant pruning, interaction characterization, and validity scope.
