Google launches AI game creation platform Playground, integrating Unity Spark

By PulseAugur Editorial · [12 sources] ·

Google has launched an experimental AI-powered platform called Playground that allows users to create and play browser-based games using text prompts, eliminating the need for coding. The platform, available in the US for users 18 and older, offers tiered access based on Google One membership and will soon integrate with Unity Spark for more advanced game mechanics. Users can create games from scratch or remix existing prompts, share them with others, or publish them to a community gallery, with safety screenings in place for all published content. AI

IMPACT Lowers the barrier to game creation, potentially democratizing indie development and expanding the market for AI-assisted tools.
