Researchers have developed Jarvis, a novel speech agent designed to proactively participate in multi-party conversations. Unlike traditional reactive agents, Jarvis intervenes only when the group misses or misstates a fact and fails to self-correct. The system is grounded in a shared document, ensuring all claims are backed by a source sentence. In tests on the CHI-180-proactive dataset, Jarvis correctly addressed most factual errors while remaining silent 97% of the time when the group self-resolved issues. A live study with 23 participants validated these findings, demonstrating Jarvis's effectiveness in real-time intervention. AI
