Doom ported to 1982 Vectrex console with Tron-like vector art

By PulseAugur Editorial · [3 sources] ·

A modder has successfully ported the classic game Doom to the Vectrex, a home console released in 1982 known for its vector graphics. This unique port transforms Doom into a Tron-like visual experience by utilizing the Vectrex's line-drawing display instead of pixels. The technical feat was achieved using a modified cartridge, the Ultimate Vectrex Multicart 2, which functions as a small computer to process the game, while the Vectrex's CRT screen provides the display.
