New benchmark measures consumer values from e-commerce behavior

Researchers have introduced Behavior2Value (B2V), a new task and benchmark designed to measure consumer values from e-commerce behavioral data. The B2V-Bench dataset, derived from anonymized Taobao logs, includes 25 types of purchase behaviors and their associated consumer value orientations. To enhance accuracy, they also developed B2V-Verifier, a model that uses Value Verification Tuning to assess the evidential support for value inferences, outperforming strong LLM baselines by 34% in multi-label classification.
