Google DeepMind launches AlphaGenome Atlas, a vast AI biology database

Google DeepMind has launched AlphaGenome Atlas, an AI-powered database designed to make foundational biology tools accessible to researchers globally. This new resource is significantly larger than the AlphaFold Database, containing over 30 times more data. AlphaGenome Atlas maps the predicted impact of billions of single-letter deoxyribonucleic acid changes and includes the AlphaGenome Variant Impact (AVI) score, which helps rank mutations and understand their damaging effects on biological processes. The resources are available through an Atlas website, an API, and will soon be integrated into Google Cloud. AI

IMPACT Accelerates biological research by providing a massive, searchable database of genetic variant impacts.
