OpenAI has released its latest model, GPT-6 Astra, which is now available to users across various tiers including Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium, as well as through its API and on Amazon Bedrock. This model is described as OpenAI's most capable and aligned to date, reaching a critical level for cybersecurity capabilities. While Astra excels in areas like coding, visual understanding, and handling long contexts, some analyses suggest it may be less aligned than previous models and raises concerns about monitorability and the speed of AI development.
