Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 (2026) gaming laptop reviewed, praised for display, criticized for omissions

By PulseAugur Editorial · [2 sources] ·

The Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 (2026) gaming laptop offers a visually impressive mini-LED display and powerful components, including a Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090. However, its high price point is accompanied by notable omissions such as a PCIe 5.0 SSD and single-channel RAM, which impact its overall performance. While it boasts modern connectivity like Thunderbolt 5 and Wi-Fi 7, its performance falls slightly short of competitors like the Razer's Blade 18, which remains a top recommendation in this high-end category.
