AI drone rescues lost hikers in Australia's Kosciuszko National Park

By PulseAugur Editorial · [6 sources] ·

An AI-powered drone successfully rescued two hikers lost in Australia's Kosciuszko National Park within five hours. Fire and Rescue NSW utilized the drone's thermal imaging and communication capabilities to locate the individuals who had strayed from the Dead Horse Gap track. This mission marks the first time the drone's AI detection system has been employed for a missing persons rescue, potentially reducing search times from days to hours and minimizing risks for rescuers.
