General Motors is reportedly reconsidering its strategy to use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries in its electric vehicles. The automaker had previously planned to adopt this lower-cost battery technology for future models, with production slated to begin by late 2027. This potential shift away from LFP batteries comes as many manufacturers are turning to them to reduce EV costs. AI
