US trade judge urges Trump administration to speed up tariff refunds
A U.S. trade court judge has urged the Trump administration to expedite the refund of over $100 billion in tariffs that were previously collected and later deemed illegal. The judge noted that delays in processing refund claims are creating significant inequities between large importers and smaller businesses. While the Customs and Border Patrol has processed a portion of the claims, they indicated to the court that a full refund of all duties cannot be processed immediately. AI
