Researchers have introduced Completion-Assisted Object-CAD Alignment (CAOA), a novel method designed to accurately align CAD models with objects in indoor RGB-D scans. This approach addresses challenges posed by incomplete scans and segmentation errors by integrating a point cloud completion module with a symmetry-aware pose estimation algorithm.
