Condition-Gated Reasoning for Context-Dependent Biomedical Question Answering
Researchers have introduced CondMedQA, a new benchmark designed to evaluate conditional reasoning in biomedical question-answering systems. This benchmark addresses the limitation of current systems that assume uniform medical knowledge application, whereas real-world clinical decisions are highly dependent on patient-specific factors. To tackle this, a novel framework called Condition-Gated Reasoning (CGR) was developed, which builds condition-aware knowledge graphs and selectively activates reasoning paths based on query conditions.
