SCOPE: Sequential Causal Optimization of Process Interventions
Researchers have developed SCOPE, a new method for optimizing sequential interventions in business processes. Unlike previous approaches that often focus on single interventions or treat multiple interventions independently, SCOPE learns to recommend aligned sequences of actions. It utilizes backward induction and causal learners to directly leverage observational data, avoiding the need for process approximations often used in reinforcement learning. AI
