Singapore charges construction firm, boss over Tanjong Katong sinkhole lapses
Singapore has charged Ohin Construction and its managing director, Ivan Ong Khiaw Yang, with multiple offenses related to a sinkhole incident on Tanjong Katong Road South. The company's construction work allegedly caused the sinkhole, which swallowed a car last July. Ohin Construction faces eight charges under the Building Control Act and Workplace Safety and Health Act, with Ong and six others also facing charges. Separately, the national water agency PUB and Surbana Jurong Consultants received conditional warnings. AI
