Atari is buying the maker of the Crossy Road games
Atari is acquiring Hipster Whale, the developer behind the popular mobile games Crossy Road and Pac-Man 256. The deal includes an initial payment of $29.3 million in cash and stock, with a potential additional $10 million based on future performance. Hipster Whale co-founder Matt Hall will join Atari to lead mobile game development, expanding Atari's mobile gaming portfolio which already includes titles for Netflix and Amazon. AI
