Adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the German Software Engineering Industry: An Empirical Study
A new study surveyed 109 German software engineers and conducted 18 interviews to understand their adoption of generative AI tools. The research found that while GenAI adoption is increasing, factors like experience level, organizational size, and awareness of project context significantly influence its effectiveness and perceived benefits.
