Adaptive Identification and Modeling of Clinical Pathways with Process Mining
Researchers have developed a novel two-phase method using process mining to enhance the modeling of clinical pathways. This approach leverages historical patient data to create process models and then uses conformance checking to compare new data against these models. The system can expand its knowledge base with more specific models for new disease variants or combinations, demonstrating high precision with an AUC of 95.62% in simulations for SARS-CoV-2 treatments.
