Explainable Task-Oriented Token Communication for AI-Native 6G Networks
Researchers have introduced a new framework called ET-TokenCom designed to improve task-oriented communication in AI-native 6G networks. This framework addresses challenges in representing task-oriented tokens, integrating visual and task tokens, and enhancing interpretability. ET-TokenCom uses tokens as unified units for information representation and transmission, creating an end-to-end communication link from perception to reasoning. It extracts Visual Tokens from images and introduces Task Tokens from foundation models to guide the selection and transmission of visual data, with an explainable output mechanism at the receiver.
