Researchers have introduced a new approach called accumulative fingerprint mapping and reconstruction for small-area mobile sensors. This method aims to address the mismatch between capturing small, pose-varying fingerprint patches and the need for complete representations for reliable biometric matching. Instead of matching each partial patch independently, the proposed framework progressively refines a unified fingerprint state as new touches are acquired, allowing for a single match after consolidation. The system integrates structural feature extraction, registration, fusion, map construction, and phase-based ridge reconstruction, along with structured token learning, pose reasoning, and diffusion-based generative reconstruction.
