APEX-SQL: Talking to the data via Agentic Exploration for Text-to-SQL
Researchers have introduced APEX-SQL, a new framework designed to improve Text-to-SQL systems for complex enterprise databases. Unlike traditional methods that rely on static schema representations, APEX-SQL employs an agentic exploration approach with a hypothesis-verification loop. This allows the system to ground its reasoning in real data by exploring data distributions and refining hypotheses, leading to more semantically accurate SQL generation.
