Made a macOS app that creates highly personal macOS apps. Works with models as small as Gemma 4 E2B
A new open-source macOS application called Ironsmith has been released, enabling users to generate personalized macOS applications using natural language prompts. The tool is designed to work with smaller, less resource-intensive AI models, including Gemma series and Apple's foundation models, making it accessible even on devices with limited memory like an 8GB MacBook Air. Ironsmith utilizes a custom agentic loop and a unique method of generating the entire app in one go, followed by extensive formatting and error correction, to achieve functionality with these smaller models.
